PROMAR - Fisheries Operational Program, co-financed by the European Fisheries Fund (EFF), approved by Regulation (EC) No 1198/2006, and its mission is to support the fisheries sector in order to ensure living aquatic resources sustainable exploitation by creating conditions in economic, environmental and social terms sustainability.
This Regulation foresees the establishment of a National Strategic Plan (NSP), structured to ensure the continuation or strategic objectives defined in the NSP or the guiding principles set out in the EFF.
The CCDR Algarve -Commission for the Coordination and Regional Development of Algarve, is a service which mission is to implement environment, territorial and cities policies, as well as the regional strategic planning and support to local authorities and their associations, trying to anticipate solutions and contribute to overcoming the constraints to economic and social development of the region, within a framework of sustainability and optimization of available resources.
One of the CCDR intervention instruments is the NSRF - National Strategic Reference whose strategic objective is to provide graduation to the Portuguese population, valuing the knowledge, science, technology and innovation, and the promotion of high and sustained economic and socio-cultural levels, developing territorial qualification, within a framework of valuing equal opportunities and, as well , increasing the efficiency and quality of public institutions.
Its priorities: Support the creation of businesses and activities in the initially years of growth (3 years), with qualified resources or carrying out their activities in sectors with strong increase dynamics; Make business investments that strengthen the ability of enterprises to ensure faster revenue in terms of internal product for external demand, favoring the emergence of new companies with an export profile.
PRODERis a strategic and financial instrument to support rural development in the mainland, result of the National Strategic Plan, which aims to define the basic guidelines for FEADER national use, the national strategy based on the EU strategic guidelines for the achievement of the following objectives:
- Increase the competitiveness of the agricultural and forestry sectors;
- Promoting the sustainability of rural areas and natural resources;
- Revitalize economically and socially rural areas.
Those objectives are joined by cross-cutting aims, such as, strengthening social and territorial cohesion, promoting the effectiveness of the public agents, private agents and associations in sectorial and territorial management.
IMPULSO JOVEM (YOUNG IMPULSE) - This plan aims to create opportunities for young people in Portugal get into job market, in order to reverse the trend of unemployment increasing installed among young people.
To accomplish that objective, presents a set of measures to encourage the creation of youth employment, being one of the major challenges that Portugal is currently facing.
The answer for this challenge is obtained through a program based in four support employability areas:
- Professional Internship Programmes
- Support to the Hiring of Youths
- Entrepreneurship
- Vocational Training
The PME DIGITAL (digital SME Programme) is an initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Employment, which intend to help Portugal’s small and medium-size enterprises to become more competitive by providing business management technology solutions based on the latest Internet and based in extremely affordable conditions.
By encouraging the use of digital tools, allows not only the access to new markets, but also to improve management and make more efficient the relationship with customers and suppliers as well the increasing the number of companies in the digital economy.
